Abstract

This contribution focus is on the architecture which sets the scenery for Tintin’s adventures. Hergé’s use of architecture and interior arrangements are meant to support the plot and dramaturgy of the story and follow in this sense often more the logic of the story instead of an architectural logic. However, Hergé often criticized for his stereotypes in respect of cultural aspects in his works, shows in his architectural settings that he did intense studies of buildings, urban settings, and ingenious building traditions to create realistic architectural and environmental sceneries.
