Abstract
Two species of the genus Willeysthenelais Pettibone, 1971 (Polychaeta Sigalionidae), i.e., W. diplocirrus (Grube, 1875) and W. horsti Pettibone, 1971, are reported from the Andaman Sea, southwestern Thailand. Willeysthenelais diplocirrus is a new record for Thailand, and is recognized from both the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. The occurrence of an elongated basal knob on the ventral cirri is the main character used for distinguishing W. diplocirrus from other members within the genus, whereas W. horsti has papillae on the ventral surface and several long papillae at the medial base of the ventral cirri.
