On the vanishing of negative K-groups

Abstract

We show that for a d-dimensional scheme X essentially of finite type over an infinite perfect field k of characteristic p > 0, the negative K-groups K_q(X) vanish for q < -d provided that strong resolution of singularities holds over the field k.
