Abstract

Macaria artesiaria (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) (Geometridae)
found in Danmark. A male specimen of M. artesiaria was caught in an automatical light trap in south-eastern Denmark at the island of Møn in 2012. It is the first record of this species from Denmark.
Characteristics of the moth and its biology are discussed in some details. Based on this single record it is too early to comment on
the possible status of M. artesiaria in Denmark.
