Kort præsentation

Min forskning undersøger byer og landskaber med fokus på bevaring, udvikling og omdannelse. Jeg er specialiseret i det 20. og 21. århundredes urbane landskaber, herunder industriområder og almene boligområder i et nutidigt og historisk perspektiv.

Mit arbejde bygger broer mellem forskning og praksis indenfor kulturarv, bynatur, landskabsarkitektur og planlægning med ønske om at bidrage til udvklingen af bæredygtige og meningsfulde omgivelser.

 

Udannet kunsthistoriker ved det Arktitske Universitet Tromsø, Norge, Freie Universität Berlin og Universitetet i København, hvorfra jeg også har en Phd i landskabsarkitektur. Jeg har arbejdet i over 10 år med kulturformidling, planlægning/design og borgerinddragelse og har en stærk tro på udvekslingen mellem praksis, forskning og uddannelse.

Core reseracher in the project Reconfiguring Welfare Landscapes: the past, present and future of Danish post-war housing estate landscapes"and leader of the sub-project Practicing Welfare Landscapes. Funded by The Danish Council for Independent Research, Humanities (2017-2020). 

Starting 2019: Reserach network Writing Urban Places. New Narratives of the European City, Cost Action, EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020. The network explores narrative approaches to urban development in European medium-sized cities.  Management Committee Member (MC). 

Starting 2019:  PuSH - Public Space in Social Housing - a Europan HERA project, Horizon 2020. Core researcher and leader of the Danish case study.

2013-2014   1.st prize invited design competition for Statens Museum for Kunst’s new entrance and garden, My role: site analysis and historical consultant for team Karres et Brands/Polyform. In 2015, this garden was awarded with the City of Copenhagen's Building Award (Københavns Kommunes Bygningspræmiering).

2010   The Haastrup honorary scholarship for “outstanding contribution” to the “success and internationalization of the research conference World in Denmark 2010” entitled As Found.

2005   1st prize invited design competition for development plan for Valby Idrætspark. Participant in team SLA (where I was then employed. My role: site analysis, programming, design critique).
