Christian Holm Christensen er Lektor på Niels Bohr Instituet, og medlem af ALICE gruppen under Discovery Center. Hans forskning tager udgangspunkt i målinger af det samlede antal ladede partikler produceret i proton-proton, proton-bly, og bly-bly sammenstød. Fra disse målinger søger Christian at få mere viden om den stærke kernekraft, og ikke mindst den så-kaldte Kvark-Gluon Plasma.
Christian fik sin kandidat grad fra Københavns Universitet i 2003, og sin Ph.D. grad 2008, for hvilket han modtog 'Best ALICE Thesis Award'. Christian har siden været ansat på Niels Bohr Institutet - først under et to-årigt stipendie fra Villum Kann Rasmussen Fonden, og siden i Discovery Center. Han modtog i 2011 et 4-årigt Steno stipendie fra Det Frie Forsknings Råd - Natur og Univers, som udmøntes fra 2012.
