Kort præsentation

Ravinder Kaur er lektor i moderne indien- og sydasienstudier. Hun er desuden centerleder for Centre of Global South-Asian Studies. Hendes nuværende forskning har fokus på globale transformationer, særlig Indiens transformation fra postkoloni til vækstmarked i det 21. århundredes globale politiske økonomi.

Hun arbejder på tværs af historie, antropologi, og internationale politik. Hun er og har været Primary Investigator af to  kollektive projekter ‘Emerging Worlds: Explorations of New South-South Connections’ (2014-2019)‘ og Nation in Motion: Globalization, Governance and Development in New India’ (2010-2015 - afsluttet)

  • I welcome PhD supervision in broad areas of contemporary history, politics, and anthropology of South Asia. Specifically, my area of expertise relates to the making of the postcolonial State, nation and nationalism; visual politics, histories of the Third World, emerging markets, refugee resettlement, Partition memory and citizenship.
