Kort præsentation

Kristin Veel completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge’s Department of German and Dutch in 2008, after which she joined the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on the impact of information and communication technology on the contemporary cultural imagination with a particular interest in surveillance technologies and big data archives. She is currently principal investigator of the critical big data project Uncertain Archives.She has published the monograph Narrative Negotiations: Information Structures in Literary Fiction (Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, 2009) and is co-editor of several collected volumes and journal issues, most recently the special issue of Digital Creativity ‘The Uncertain Image’ (2017). She was between 2011 and 2014 network organiser and grant administrator for the research network Negotiating (In)Visibilities (funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research, Humanities).

In 2019 she was elected Research Fellow at the Surveillance Studies Centre at Queen's University in Canada
