Mine primære forskningsinteresser er centreret omkring hvordan tidlige livsbetingelser påvirker sundhed og trivsel for fostre, børn og unge, og de epidemiologiske problemstillinger der er til stede, når dette udforskes.
Co-Principal Investigator for 18 års-opfølgningen i den danske nationale fødselskohorte – Bedre Sundhed i Generationer (tidligere navn: Bedre Sundhed for Mor og Barn).
Afdækker årsager til cerebral parese ved at benytte harmoniserede data fra den danske og den norske nationale fødselskohorte. Det primære formål er at undersøge, om forskellige prænatale eksponeringer øger risikoen for cerebral parese.
Jeg er involveret i en række forskningsprojekter omhandlende tidlige determinanter for mentalt helbreds-relaterede udfald blandt 11-årige børn.
Underviser præ- og postgraduate studerende i epidemiologi og reproduktiv epidemiologi.
Vejleder bachelorstuderende, kandidatstuderende og PhD-studerende.

Teaching experience:
I am responsible for an annual offered graduate course in Epidemiology and lecture at an elective course in Reproductive Epidemiology at the program of Public Health Sciences. I was involved in the developing of the PhD-level course in Causal Inference. I give lectures at PhD-level courses in epidemiological designs, causal modeling, directed acyclic graphs, and interaction. I have been supervisor for 18 bachelor-level and 19 master-level students in Public Health Science, and 3 bachelor-level MD student. All at the University of Copenhagen.
