Abstract
Epidemiology deals with the assessment of effects of risk factors on disease outcome in human populations, and statistics has played a prominent role in its development. This chapter provides a guide for the 'inexperienced' teacher to teach statistics as a part of a teaching programme in epidemiology. Topics covered include teaching objectives, teaching contents and format, and assessment of students' achievements.
