    Abstract

This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2009 and include remarkable findings from previous years. The classification and nomenclature follow the Danish catalogue (Karsholt & Stadel Nielsen, 1998) which is based on the European checklist (Karsholt & Razowski (eds.), 1996).
Six species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Stigmella stettinensis (Heinemann, 1871) (Nepticulidae). One specimen was taken in a light trap in Copenhagen; 2) Schiffermuelleria grandis (Desvignes, 1842) (Oecophoridae). One specimen has been collected at light on the Island Langeland; 3) Goniodoma limoniella (Stainton, 1884) (Coleophoridae). Numerous specimens have been taken both in a light trap and flying around the host plant on the Island of Rømø in south-west Jutland. The species is regarded as recently established; 4) Lozotaeniodes formosana (Geyer, 1830) (Tortricidae). One specimen was taken in a light trap in the Copenhagen area; 5) Cydia lobarzewskii (Nowicki, 1860) (Tortricidae). One specimen has been taken in a light trap on the Island Møn in southern Denmark; 6) Ecpyrrhorrhoe rubiginalis (Hübner, 1796) (Pyralidae). One specimen has been taken in a light trap on the island Bornholm.
We introduced a special list of species with uncertain status last year (Buhl et al., 2009: 67). This year the following two species is transferred to this list: Caloptilia azaleella (Brants, 1913) and Cacoecimorpha pronubana (Hübner, 1799). Also Tuta absoluta (Meyrick, 1917) (Gelechiidae), of which one specimen was caught in a light trap in Copenhagen area, is placed on this list. The species is a well known pest on tomatoes spreading in Europe and now for the first time recorded from Denmark.
The total number of Danish Nepticulidae is now 86; Oecophoridae 30; Coleophoridae 118; Tortricidae 383 and of Pyralidae 196; this results in a total of 1560 species of Microlepidoptera (families Micropterigidae-Pyralidae) found in Denmark. The total amount of Macrolepidoptera mentioned from Denmark is now 962, bringing the number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2522 species.
