Description

Through two examples, the overall research plan of the Centre was put in perspective: 1/ the example of the Eucharist which through centuries of theological and philosophical discussions also led to ceremonies with texts and music which today are primarily appreciated as art. 2/ An example of a modern composer, the American George Crumb (born 1929) who in music appropriates many elements from earlier times, among them also from a medieval ritual background.
