Abstract
A proposal on using self-assembled single-quantum-dot devices to store entangled photon pairs has been presented. In this scheme, the entanglement information can be stored in the nuclear-hole complexes by exciting electron-hole pairs in two separated quantum dots and mapping the spin states from electrons to corresponding nuclear ensembles. It has also been demonstrated that it is feasible to realize this scheme with current technology, and that when the storage-readout cycle is successful, a high storage fidelity can be achieved even under imperfect experimental conditions.
