N2 - We identified all Danish HIV patients registered with myocardial infarction (MI) when on HAART (44 patients) and compared their mortality with that of matched patients with MI and no HIV and patients with HIV and no MI. Mortality in HIV-infected MI patients was not significantly different to that of MI only patients in the first 90 days post-MI and thereafter was not significantly different to that of HIV patients without MI.
