Abstract
This paper estimates the intergeneration transmission of civicness by
studying second generation immigrants in 29 European countries with
ancestry in 83 nations. There is significant transmission of civicness both on
the mother’s and the father’s side. The estimates are quantitatively
significant and provide evidence on the transmission of trustworthiness.
