Beskrivelse

The Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends in Europe is a web-based and permanently updated information and monitoring system of national cultural policies in Europe. It is a long term project which aims to include all 50 member states co-operating within the context of the European Cultural Convention. 45 countries currently participate in the Compendium.
This transnational project was initiated in 1998 by the Steering Committee for Culture of the Council of Europe and is run as a joint venture with the European Institute for Comparative Cultural Research (ERICarts). It is realised in partnership with a "community of practice" comprised of independent cultural policy researchers, NGOs and national government representatives from across Europe


The authors is an independent expert with cultural policy expertise commissioned by the editors to prepare and annually update their respective Compendium country profile. In 2005 Peter Duelund was appointed by the editors and The Danish Ministry of Culture as Danish Author
